Batman takes over Wall Street

a few months ago Mr. Larsen decided that we should go to the at&t store to buy covers for our phones.

i was pretty reluctant to go because it was a Saturday afternoon and I wanted to clean the apartment.

boy was I glad we went!

as we were walking to the store which is at the east end of Wall Street we happened upon a movie set.

a big one.

it covered all of Wall Street.

everything was blocked off and we had to take an alternate route.

the Mr. saw some production people and started quizzing them on what the filming was.

so cool.

my life-long dream of running into Christian Bale didn't happen, but I did get to see his Batmobile.

that will do for now.

after we left the at&t store, they had finished filming for the day and we were able to walk up Wall Street and it looked like a total war zone. they had replaced the flags across from the NYSE with tattered American flags and covered all of the news stands with propaganda related to the movie. we may or may not have saved some of the fake snow we were traipsing through too.

Halloween 2011

{I am attempting to do some catch up with our blog. Please excuse the posts that are a bit outdated.}

this was my first Halloween in the city.

as you may remember, I ventured home for my first Halloween after moving to New York.

this past year we had a fun party with friends at the Matheny's.

it was so fun to chat, play games, and see everyone's silly costumes.

as usual, the food was delicious, and I brought mini mummies!

the Mr. and I were running around like crazy that week...so we showed up as Black Eyed Peas.

get it. thats right. HILARIOUS. 

after the party a few of us ventured up to the West Village to check out the infamous Halloween Parade that goes on every year.  let me tell you, New York's craziest people make an appearance that night.

Halloween is such a special day for me.  My sweet Granny Brown was born that day!

I can't wait for this years festivities!

TWO YEARS!

the Mr. and I celebrated our 2nd year of marriage last October in Turks & Caicos.

we had an amazing time staying right on Grace Bay which is a 12 mile beach on Provodenciales.

our days were filled with sun, sand and the salty ocean water.

we had great weather and one day there was a 45 minute torrential downpour that flooded the streets.

we rode bikes to the markets and small restaurants.

we snorkled for conch and explored Iguana Island.

we had dinner on the beach the night of our anniversary.

we rode a Hobi Cat into the open waters all by ourselves. (this terrified me)(the Mr. was in Heaven)

we soaked up as much sun as possible and swam in the ocean for hours.

it was such a fun getaway and we were so happy to celebrate another wonderful year as husband and wife.

today is a very special day.

today, the love of my life turns 27 years old.

today is the day that I woke up extra early to make the love of my life breakfast in bed.

today is the day that I watched the love of my life get excited over birthday presents.

today is the day that I sang Happy Birthday to the love of my life twice within a 10 min period of time.

today is the day that the love of my life wore a whole new birthday outfit to work.

today is the day that I look forward to all year.

today is a day that I will always be in love with, because the love of my life was born on this day.

today I am so grateful for the love of my life.

he is so handsome.

he is so smart.

he is so funny.

he is so silly.

he is so loving.

he is so helpful.

he is so charming.

he is so friendly.

he is so stubborn.

he is sooo handsome. {wait..i already said that}

he is so hungry.

he is so hardworking.

he is so sleepy.

he is so active.

he is so righteous.

he is so energetic.

he is so vibrant.

he is so OLD. ;)

and he is ALL mine. 

I am one lucky girl to be married to this wonderful 27 year old.
